Holistic Counseling:

Holistic Counseling is a gentle process of deepening self-awareness, healing emotional wounds, and uncovering greater self-acceptance by learning to unconditionally love self.  Mindfulness Life Coaching:

​“Mindfulness” is the power of attention. It is the ability to be present, self-aware, and cognizant of others and one’s environment. It is an intentional, present-moment awareness, without reactivity or judgment. It is the quality of mind that allows us to see the bigger picture, and to bring a power of observation to all that we do. It is mindful attention that allows us to be emotionally intelligent, socially aware and skillful in our interactions with others.

With skilled guidance, mindfulness can be systematically cultivated and developed through practices, training the mind in a similar way to training the body at the gym. It is the ultimate mental workout.

Understanding Spirituality:

 

Spirituality is generally considered to be broader than any religion one might practice, as it takes into account cognitive and philosophic areas of thought as well as aspects of emotions and behavior. Some might describe spirituality as the attempt to understand one's nature or the meaning of one's existence, but spirituality is also linked to one's path to internal awareness and happiness. Many cultures and belief systems hold that one's spirit is the essence of one's existence, and thus, spirituality may also describe for some people their connection to each other and to themselves.

 

Though some may describe themselves as spiritual without adhering to the principles of any religion or even having any religious thought, for others, religion is the manifestation of their spirituality. This manifestation may involve the performance of rituals—in one tradition or in some combination of traditions—with varying degrees of commitment and involvement in that faith. Spirituality may also describe the attention people pay to their own well-being and that of others. For many, the practice of dance, yoga, meditation, or volunteer work, among others, are outlets in which to express spirituality.

 

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing and health.

Reiki is a source of healing and renewal for the mind and body. When the body is imbalanced, the mind follows, and vice versa. Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive healing approach that fosters healing and balance between the connection of both mind and body.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive and powerful form of hands-on healing that works to remove blockages or imbalances in the body’s subtle energy systems, as well as negative thoughts, feelings, and sensations that are held in the mind and body. It is a natural healing art that creates increased overall health and wellbeing. It can be a source for addressing and clearing negative patterns of acute and chronic conditions and dis-ease that are a part of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experience.

Reiki healing creates a sense of deep relaxation which heightens the body’s natural ability to rejuvenate the immune system by reducing and removing toxins, stress, emotions that can build up over time. Reiki healing sessions can provide the results and relief that will maintain and enhance your over- well-being. If you are integrating Reiki healing with therapy sessions, it will be a powerful adjunctive to your growth and healing process.

What to Expect in Your Session

Your session will start with an intake and conversation regarding the concerns you would like to address with Reiki healing. You will set an intention or hope for the Reiki session and the treatment will begin.

The Reiki healing treatment will be provided in a safe, comfortable and calm environment. You will lay down on the table fully clothed, with pillows, blankets and bolsters available. Using a series of hand positions, we will gently place my hands on or above you and work from head to toe which will enhance the balancing and healing experience

After your session, you will feel relaxed, energized and at peace as the balance is restored to your body. You may feel increased clarity, truth, insight in many different ways. Each individual has a personal experience unique to their own journey.
